These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Korly ("the Service"), a Korean-language learning application operated by 더부크 (the "Operator"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 14 years old to use Korly, in line with the Korean Information and Communications Network Act. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Korly provides Korean language learning content adapted to TOPIK proficiency levels 1 to 6. Content includes news articles, editorials, public-domain announcements, conversations, and other sources processed by artificial intelligence to fit your learning level, accompanied by text-to-speech audio, vocabulary, grammar, expressions, and quizzes. The Service is continuously evolving and features may change.
You may sign up using email or through third-party providers (Google, Apple, Kakao). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion removes your personal data within 30 days, except for records we must retain by law (see our Privacy Policy).
Korly offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier. Premium plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Current pricing (subject to change as displayed at the time of purchase):
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time through your device's subscription management settings (App Store → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
Pre-renewal notice (Korean law). We send a renewal reminder at least 7 days before each automatic renewal via push notification to your device. This complies with the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
Refunds. Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. Korean consumers also retain the cooling-off rights granted under Korean consumer-protection laws (e.g., Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce) where applicable.
Digital content and right of withdrawal (Korea). Premium is digital content that becomes available for immediate use upon purchase. Under Article 17(2) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the right of withdrawal (cooling-off) may be restricted for digital content once its provision has begun, where we have informed you and obtained your consent to immediate provision. If provision has not yet begun, you may withdraw within 7 days of purchase. To request a refund, use the App Store or Google Play refund process, or contact us at korly.dev@gmail.com.
The free tier includes a daily reading limit and may display advertisements (banner, native, or rewarded video) provided by Google AdMob. Watching a rewarded ad can grant temporary access to additional content. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
On iOS, advertising tracking is subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You may bookmark articles, mark vocabulary, rate content, and similar light interactions. By doing so, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use this data to operate, personalize, and improve the Service. We do not claim ownership of any creative content you submit.
Korly and its original content, features, and software are owned by the Operator and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Source materials within the Service remain the property of their respective publishers, used under applicable licenses and fair-use principles of Korean copyright law (Articles 28 and 35-5):
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial learning. Any other use requires our prior written consent.
Substantial portions of the learning content are generated or adapted by artificial intelligence (e.g., Google Gemini for level-adjusted rewriting, Google Chirp3-HD for text-to-speech, ElevenLabs for audio alignment). Although we review and refine the output, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Service is intended for educational support and should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or other specialized decisions. Always verify important information against authoritative sources.
The Service integrates with third-party providers including but not limited to Google (Sign-In, AdMob, Firebase, Vertex AI), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store), Kakao (Sign-In), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Supabase (database), Cloudflare (storage), PostHog (analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring). Your use of these providers' services may also be subject to their own terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws (such as those of Korea, the EU, or your country of residence) require otherwise. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, death, personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by applicable law. Korean consumers retain the protections of mandatory consumer-protection law regardless of these limitations.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms or engage in fraud or illegal activity. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Republic of Korea, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Korean consumers may also use the Korea Consumer Agency mediation procedures.
