Marketing Communications Consent

This document explains how 더부크 (the "Operator") collects and uses your consent to send marketing communications through Korly. We follow the Korean Information and Communications Network Act, which requires explicit, opt-in consent before sending any promotional information.

1. What Counts as Marketing

"Marketing communications" includes promotional information such as:

• New features, new content categories, or upcoming launches
• Sales, discount offers, free trials, and limited-time promotions
• Referral or invitation rewards
• Surveys, beta-tester invitations, and community events
• Weekly digests highlighting popular articles or learning tips

The following are not marketing communications and are sent regardless of your marketing consent:

• Account-related notices (password resets, security alerts, account deletion confirmations)
• Subscription renewal reminders, payment receipts, refund notices
• Learning-related notifications you have enabled (daily reminders, streak alerts, quiz reminders)
• Legal updates such as changes to these documents

2. Channels (Per-Channel Consent)

You can opt in to each channel independently. Consenting to one channel does not imply consent to the others.

3. Information We Use

To send relevant marketing, we may use the following information you have already provided:

• Email address (for email marketing)
• Push notification token (for push marketing)
• Account preferences such as your TOPIK level, language, and learning history (to tailor relevance)

We do not share this information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. How to Withdraw Consent (Opt-Out)

You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time, free of charge, through any of the following:

• In-app: Settings → Notifications → Marketing preferences. Toggle each channel independently.
• Email: Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email.
• Push: Disable Korly notifications in your device's system settings, or use the in-app toggle.
• Direct request: Email korly.dev@gmail.com with your account email.

Withdrawal takes effect within 24 hours. You may continue to receive transactional and service-related messages (see Section 1).

5. Retention

Your marketing consent status (opt-in or opt-out) is retained while your account is active so we can honor your choice. If you delete your account, your marketing preferences are deleted with it.

6. Consent Refresh

Where required by Korean law, we may periodically (typically every 2 years) ask you to confirm or refresh your marketing consent. You can change your choice at any time, regardless of any such refresh.
